Robert flew sixty-one combat missions totaling 305hours. He flew missions over Southern France, Romania, Turkey, Italy andGermany. Ten of his eleven victories were against enemy fighters. The othervictory was a twin engine Messerschmitt Me-110 fighter.

His war decorations include the Silver Star, the DistinguishedFlying Cross with one Oak Leaf Cluster, and the Air Medal with Seventeen Oakleaf Clusters. Bob was officially credited with eleven aerial victories.

I am an aviation artist and historian. I have worked with well over one hundred pilots from World War II, Korea, Vietnam and the present-day Desert Wars. We have published 85 different poster prints.
