This print honors HS-1 which was the very first Navy helicopter squadron. This print shows the different aircraft they flew and they years they were flown. This squadron started everything that we have now, a very effective Navy helicopter force.Prints measure 18x24" in size...HS-1 was stationed at NAS JAX when the squadron was shut down in 1996 for new and more advanced groups...As for the USS Saratoga? That carrier was stationed at NAS Mayport for the carrier's entire life! Hundreds of thousands of Navy personal went through the City of Jacksonville with many of them retiring here. The artwork of the carrier shows the Sara coming into the Jetties outside Mayport Naval Station after returning from the first Gulf War...Enjoy the story under the artwork of the carrier.
