The T-6A Texan II is a single-engine, two-seat primary trainer designed to train students in basic flying skills common to Navy pilots. Pilots are seated in tandem, typically with a student and an instructor. The student can sit in the front or the back, depending on mission requirements. Powered by 1,100 hp Pratt & Whitney PT6A turboprop engine, the aircraft is capable of speeds up to 320kts and is fully aerobatic. Our detailed orange model represents the Navy's trainer. Interesting fact: the light attack aircraft, Wolverine, is a variant of the AT-6.
