North West Fons express indignation at barbaric act.

Life has been bitter in Kedjem Keku (Big Babanki) since their Fon, Simon Vugah II was tortured, beaten and burnt to death by villages on January 19, 2006. When Cameroon Tribune visited the village a day after the incident, virtually all shops and bars were closed while pupils and students were on their way home by midday. Villagers carrying sticks had taken up seats in front of the palace while many others trekked towards Bamenda to ask for the release of fellow villagers arrested during the gruesome murder of late Fon Simon Vugah II. They were however, stopped around St. Thomas Major Seminary in Bambui where security measures had been taken to identifying the perpetrators of the horrible act.
