Up for sale is a prototype second version of a Bell Helmet conversion to FAST. This originally started as an experiment to see if it was possible, and indeed it was. The shell was stripped down and drilled, and Maritime specific rails were traced on the sides and it was cut and filed down. There is a slight peak in front brow area to facilitate goggles more easily so it comes up in the front. It has been fitted with original PT helmet pads that are a mixture of oldgen ones but they work well. The chin strap is a Hard Head Veterans one that has been given a more X style nape type of pad and has one eyelet missing that doesn't inhibit function nor is it visible. It is height adjustable even more than currently configured. Now that it's a proven concept, I may make more in the future if there's enough interest or guys with big heads. These are very roomy shells that are much bigger than what you find in FAST type helmets because they originally have a thick styrene liner. Tan color, has a commercial Ops Core style vel cro kit just slightly modified to go around the vents.
Refurbished shell and pads with newly added hardware that was modified from original use to be mounted to helmet. Item will seem new, but have imperfections from custom fitting/testing etc.
Fits like a Size 8, XXL head. I am not kidding, this is a ROOMY shell. Good for bigger guys or for guys with a massive melon.
