bronze commemorative Medallion celebrating the Graf Zeppelin LZ-126 American Trip From Germany October 12 to 15, 1924. One hundredth year anniversary this year!!! After this airship landed at a naval base in New Jersey, the Atlantic Ocean was not crossed non stop until Lindbergh’s flight in May 1927. A beautiful design depicting a bust of Ferdinand Zeppelin on front with birth and death dates. The back depicting Hermes/ Mercury guiding the airship over ocean waters with his right hand. This historic flight was an attempt to improve American/German relations by Dr. Hugo Eckener.
