These lights were discovered in one the earliest planned industrial cities in the USA, Lawrence MA. Thebuilding was a power generation plant that originally used coal and then oil topower steam turbines to generate electricity, (to power industrial lighting :).They were replaced with higher-performing, but boring, LED fixtures. For the lights that make it to a caring rehabilitation facility..that's a wonderful scenario, for the lights that get scrapped, not so good.

Pyle National Co. has been around since the very late 1800's. In their early days, they manufactured lights for locomotives and ships.

At the time of this listing, I have about 30 of these Pyle National lights that have a heavy cast-iron fitter mated with Crouse Hinds famous VDB3 globe and a cage. The condition varies but these first ten a very, very nice.

The shade is 16" in diameter. With the supplied 6" galvanized down-rod, the light is 24 inches from the ceiling to the bottom of the cage. Without the cage, 19 inches.

The original sockets are in great condition. I simply had to clean, inspect and re-wire them. I added a very good, solid ground to the cast iron fitter. My commercial buyers love this, so do their electricians and inspectors. Make passing your inspections a breeze! The socket is a standard medium base that uses standard household bulbs.

The original asbestos gaskets were safely removed and replaced with a new factory cut non-asbestos gaskets. (Family Safety, #1 Rule).

The crystal clear globes are of a tear-drop design and quite heavy. These bulb-covers are among my favorites with a very pleasant shape.. The protective and somewhat attractive cage is easily removed when necessary. Most times, protective wire cages were flat instead of this appealing convex shape. This shape presents far more strength than a flat wire guard.......and has the wonderful side-affect of industrial style.

The newer swivel hanger provides protection against accidental bumps and bangs offered by forklifts, ladders, children, etc. It also allows the light to hang plumb from a ceiling that is sloped.

If more than one light is purchased, they will ship with the shades removed from the socket fitter. Reinstalling is easy, with only three screws to tighten.

I tend to each and every one as if I was restoring it for public exhibition...I'm extremely proud of my work.No time or expense was spared during the restoration of these amazing vintage lights. Each of these lights represent a substantial amountof time spent seekingperfection while keeping the light as original as safely possible. Inner parts of this light that will never been seen by the buyer, look just as nice as parts that are readily visible. No bad surprises....only good ones.

Light will be shipped in pieces to insure safe arrival; re-assembly is EASILY accomplished by purchaser.

These guys are relatively heavy. The buyer will contribute 19.99 towards the shipping cost of the first light. Additional lights will ship for only $9.99 each.

I suggest that all electrical items be checked and installed by a professional electrician.

Always buying nice collections of lights or those dirty old barn lights that were removed decades ago now residing in the attic. Send me a note.

Please feel free to ask questions prior to offerding.

I'm a very fast and careful shipper. These lights will be packed very well.
