The historic first combat mission, flown by the United States Air Force against the Germans during WWII, took place on the fourth of July 1942.

Using Douglas A-20 Bostons, borrowed from the Royal Air Force, the Americans celebrated the occasion with low-level strikes against enemy airfields located in Holland.

This print is made from an original oil painting by Nixon Galloway. Print is signed by Galloway and is 234/650.
