CAPTAIN HEINRICH BAUER(1902-1979) German aviator and the watch officer of the ill-fated airship Hindenburg during the disaster, going on to participate in numerous other Zeppelin flights. Later, a navigator for the Luftwaffe, wounded in action near Hannover in 1945. Rare autograph signed and Inscribed 1st edition book in German to an American researcher and admirer, Extremely Fine with original book dust cover and a small light split on the outer spine at the head.
