In the late 1990's a New Volkswagen Beetle was being developed in the United States . A clay mock up was builtto use as a study . Five years after the car was introduced and was a huge selling success for VW , The originalclay model was cut up into small blocks and given the the Volkswagen Dealers in the USA . This is one of thosepieces . It's in as delivered shape and it bolted to the bottom of the display case . The case does not open and is not made to .Fantastic and rare piece of Volkswagen history . I know it may not be of interest to the air-cooled VW collectors but.....It is no less important to the history and success of the company . Very unique piece .The clay it's self is about 5 inches tall . This is just how it came to the VW dealer .
