Hang some History on your walls! This is the VERY FIRST Blue Angle!Butch was selected to form the Navy Team and he flew with them for several years. Butch was also a Navy Ace in WWII. This print is 18x24". Butch autographed each print in soft pencil so each autograph is still fresh after all of these years. I only have about 150 of these left and he only signed 500.

I started this series of Aviation Artto tell the story of a famous aviator and how he became famous with artwork of his aircraft along with a short story of his adventures in that aircraft.

Believe it or not but these brave men actually flew acrobatics in a Navy fighter that swept the skies of the Japanese fighter. That sounds historic and even romantic, but what I am saying is that the F6F Hellcat were fine fighters indeed,but they were like flying a cardboard box in close formation! Butch told me that his men flew this heavy beastuntil they changed over to the lightweightBearcat. This IS History!

Butch said that it was fun to do a "barrel roll" in this fast fighter when you were by yourself...but he said it was hair raising when they did it TOGETHER!
