Description Check it out...Here's a classic 7" wide by 4 1/2" tall ornate unused / blank generic stock "scrip" certificate from the 1850s Era Kennebec and Portland Railroad Line that ran from 1836 to 1874. How many of these unused items survived? In lightly used condition with expected light wear consistent with use and age.
Here is some history on the rail line:
The Kennebec and Portland Railroad was chartered in 1836, and completed from Portland to Augusta in 1851. It was reorganized as the Portland and Kennebec Railroad in 1862, leased as the Maine Central lower road main line in 1870, and purchased in 1874.

Many of the items are VINTAGE and although they are in very fine condition, they may not function as well as when they were made decades ago. So if you intend on using the old item, please be aware that we are selling it for collector value only. In other words, if you intend on using a 50+ year old letter opener and it breaks, don't get mad at us. It may be hard to believe, but we have received a couple negatives because people broke vintage items while trying to use them.
