This vintage Chevrolet GO GETTER salesman award trophy represents the pre-war elegance and the spirit of achievement. The trophy is made in the late art deco early mid-century modern period, and stands 8 inches tall. It features a man walking on a book, symbolizing the idea to \'go get it and keep it\'. Presented by William E. Holler, Chevy Sales Manager from 1933-45, this trophy was awarded to salesmen who achieved the \'it shall be done\' campaign in the year 1940. The style is a classic suit and tie with a fedora hat worn by the salesman of that era. Many details include laced oxfords, cuffed pants, necktie, chest pocket with handkerchief, attache\' case and fedora hat. The book is titled \"The Go-Getter / It Shall be Done / The Go Get it and Keep it Campaign /Presented in Appreciation, Wm.E. Holler. And on its spine it reads \"The Go-Getter\" with a Chevrolet bow tie Logo. William Holler was the Chevrolet sales manager from 1933-45, which helps date the trophy. It retains its original finish along with its original table protector on its bottom. I believe it is made of brass and it is heavy for its size. I have not tried to shine it. It is all original. This trophy is a great addition to a collection of automobilia or as a unique decoration piece.
