Gorgeous 3 1/2" x 2 1/2" x 1" Lucite display containing fragments of 6 historic air- and spacecraft.
The front and back of the display have color and b&w photos of various historic aircraft.
Embedded in the display are authentic fragments of:
• the Wright Brothers 1911 Model B Flyer• Curtiss NC-4 Flying Boat from 1919• Douglas World Cruiser "Chicago" from 1924• HK-1 "Spruce Goose" from 1947• the Apollo 11 command module "Columbia" from 1969• Space Shuttle "Enterprise" from 1977
Each fragment was an actual part of the air- and spacecrafts. The Apollo 11 fragment flew to the moon and the Space Shuttle fragment flew in space and orbited the earth. Each fragment measures about 1/8" x 1/4". All fragments were legally obtained, generally during renovations.
