MCM 1960’s Japanese brass floor lamp embossed enamel study liv rm office. 52” tall 62 3/8” to top of the original harp. There is no finial. We purchased this floor lamp from our favorite antique dealer after she returned from another European buying trip. This was 25 yrs ago. It was very similar to a set of brass lamps we had purchased from her some years prior. It is brass and has an enamel brown recessed from the Asian cultural motifs embossed in the decorated segments. Quite handsome. Over the years guests have thought it to be from Egypt or the Middle East, even Africa. This lamp can be used as a focal point or blends nicely with an array of decor adding texture and interest. We have never used anything other than warm soapy water to clean as we love the natural tarnishing and aged patina. As you can see by the pictures as with all brass, it’s appearance changes with the lighting of the room. This floor lamp,as with most vintage pieces, has had many lives before and show appropriate dings,tarnishing and imperfections normal in use & age. It works fine, we just had it on while I was removing my Victorian lampshade from it. This lamp is sold as is with all it’s glorious imperfections! Condition is Used.
