From Estate. Group of Three (3) Vintage Colorful Talavera Mexico Pottery Hand Painted Picture Frames.
Vertical frame outer measurements are 7 1/4" x 5 5/8". Viewing area is 4 1/2" x 3 1/4". Insert slot is 4 1/4" x 5 3/4" high.
Horizonal orangish frame outer measurements are 7 3/8" x 5 3/4". Viewing area is 4 1/4" x 3". Insert slot is 5 1/2" x 4 1/2".
The secondHorizonal orangish frame outer measurements are 7 3/8" x 5 1/2". Viewing area is 4 1/4" x 3". Insert slot is 5" x 4 5/8". The picture insert slot is narrow in the center area on this one, but wide enough for a photo.One frame has a small hairline at the top of the frame just visible on back side, see photos; (this is not damage, but happened during the glazing and firing of the frame as when viewed with magnification, you can see the glaze had run into the thin crack. This type of imperfection is typical of Talavera pottery as the artist generally work in smaller studios). The other 2 are very nice with no issues at all other than a few glaze runs and voids ( again, typical of this type of pottery). Colors are strong.
