What is the difference, open flow air chuck and closed flow air chuck?
The open flow air chuck allows air to flow freely even when not engaged to a valve stem.While the closed flow air chuck has a shut-off valve built-in.The air can only pass through when the valve core of air chuck is pushed to open.
Any idea on how to stop the closed chuck from leaking air at the valve stem? (The stem is clean)
Align the chuck to the tire stem, push the chuck body against the stem lip.You need to hear air leaking noise. Apply more force till noise disappears to seal the chuck with the stem.Then push the sleeve forward to lock the jaws onto the stem.
My compressor screws to the valve stem. What adapter do I need to connect this to my compressor?
The chuck has a 1/4" FNPT outlet.you can connect the chuck to your compressor with a adapter(fitting) which has a 1/4" NPT male thread on one side and a 8V1 male thread(0.305"OD) on the other side.
