This pair of sleeve and shoulder panels can be stitched onto a gambeson for additional armor protection or to wear beneath plate armor to provide maille protection underneath the gaps of plate armor. The panels are constructed from flat riveted links of mild steel which alternate with solid flat rings of mild steel. Each link measures 9 mm in diameter and 18 gauge in thickness.
