Chicago & Illinois Midland HB Train Railroad Book C&IMThis listing is for a hard-cover book, Chicago & Illinois Midland, by Richard R. Wallin, Paul H. Stringham, and John Szwajkart, copyright 1979. The book is previously owned. The dust jacket has some small tears. I have see no stains or writing. There are 240 pages about this small railroad company that carried Illinois coal to barges on the Illinois River headed for Chicago. The company operated only 121 route miles of track and only had 21 diesel locomotives.

This comes from the V.L. Smith Collection. Former head of engineering for BRC.
