One of only two Sonic Cruiser 1/40th scale model airplanes that were built. This exact model was built by PacMin in 2001 and was revealed by then Boeing CEO at the June 2001 Paris Airshow. The Sonic Cruiser was a futuristic design issued from Boeing product and development studies performed in the 1990s. The airplane's main characteristic was to fly near or slightly above supersonic speed. This project was abandoned in December 2002 in favor of the more fuel efficient 787 flying today. This is truly a museum piece. The only other Sonic Cruiser model of this size is currently displayed in a Boeing lobby. Dimensions are approximately 50 in. wide by 78 in. long.
