7 Airplanes Greetings Antique & Vintage Postcards. 4 set American Airlines
This is a nice selection of GREETINGS postcards that would have been sent out for Best Wishes and Friendship. These have AIRPLANES in the designs and one is an antique postcards while the others are vintage. The postcards are both nicely drawn and as well as being PHOTOS of airplanes. There is a set of 4 in this lot that is from America Airlines and shows the airplane, crew, passengers, and a look out the window. These are colorful and attractive.
The antique postcard is from 1911, and shows a biplane with a couple looking up to it. There is also a picture of the Wright Brothers plane of 1903, and a drawing of the "Spirit of St. Louis" at the Smithsonian.
These are good postcards to add to a collection. They wouldappeal to collectors because they capture the style used back in the early 1900s, and provide a "glimpse of life" back then. These have good detail that makes them pleasing to look at. They are fromdifferentpublishers.Overall, a niceselection of antique Greetings airplanes postcards at a very reasonable price.
