♠ David participated in the initial landing against Japanese Forces during theBattle of Cape Gloucester on December 26, 1942.♠ David also participated in the initial landing against Japanese Forces during theBattle of Peleliuon September 15, 1944.

♠ After serving 2 years and 6 months overseas, David was Honorably Discharged on October 19, 1945.
