Vintage Leroy Fairchild Dip Pen - 14K Gold No. 8 Nib + Holder:

Lovely old Fairchild nib, quite large, about 4.3 centimeters long & 6 millimeters wide at the base. It is 14k gold, very flexible with good snapback. Line variation from well under 1mm to about 2.5mm at full flex. Can go to 3mm if you really push it.

This particular nib has lost its tipping. It still writes smoothly, but can be a hard starter. The tines are aligned. There is a small crack at the base, which should not be noticeable except when taken out of a holder. The holder included is rosewood, it is not original.
