For your consideration is this vintage beer stein produced by MIL-ART China Company of Chelmsford, Massachusetts. This stein was produced to commemorate the original commissioning crew, otherwise known as Plankowners, for the USS Klakring US Navy Vessel. This ship was commissioned on September 18, 1982, and the ship\'s motto was \"Freedom Through Vigilance\". The front of the stein bears the ship\'s insignia and below the rim reads \"PLANKOWNER\". The backside of the mug is personalized with the name \"Rossco\" just below the rim. Below that is an image through a porthole of a brown mermaid and her fishy friend under the ocean. This was obtained near the Mayport Naval Base in Jacksonville, Florida. The stein is ceramic and measures 5 inches in diameter at the base and 6.2 inches tall. It is in fabulous condition with no chips, cracks or abrasions observed. Great collector\'s item for Naval Vessel militaria that you will not want to pass over.
