Excellent overall condition circa 1940's
Promotional pins issued by Kellogg Cereal and 1 by Quaker Puffed Wheat & Rice
Navy blue beanie made from wool. The beanie is untagged and may or may not be issued by the Kellogg Pep Cereal program. The size is approx. 22" at bottom circumference. My husband purchased this from an Antique store back in the late 60's.
In the mid-1940s, Kellogg’s started placingthese small pinback buttons as premiums inside boxes of its Pep cereal. Children would attach the buttonsto their beanie caps, according to a 2006 Heritage sale catalog. The Heritage lot contained the full set of 86 buttons, sized 13/16″ each.
