VINTAGE 1940\'s Tin Pie Safe Bread box Combo Yellow Red Blue Floral LatchedSeveral sources say this may be from the late 1930s, but most references I found say 1940s.It is a dual purpose bin. Top for bread and the bottom, latched compartment, for pies or other baked goods.Super pretty design.
As far as condition, it is very good structurally - the latch works fine. The doors and hinges are solid. There is rust on the bottom and along all the seams. There are several scratches. Please see pictures.
We did not clean this- only dusted with a soft cloth to avoid damage of anykind.
