Very old, wooden and metal printer\'s plate block or stamp. This is the same type used on old publications/ephemera where you can actually feel and see the impression on the paper. We\'re guessing by the \"Flying Clipper\" slogan this was from the 1920s,1930s, or 1940s, though we could be wrong? Regardless, this is an amazing relic we found in Arizona. The block measures approximately 2.75\" x 7/8\" x 3/8\". Certainly something that could still be usable with the correct tools/machinery to print your own Pan Am letterhead and, something that you may never see again...
It is in good used condition. The printed sample in blue was with a water-based marker rubbed onto the plate, it didn\'t want to adhere to the metal very well--real ink will probably adhere to the plate much better and produce a better print.
