I try to show the items as they actually are, a task not always easily accomplished. Scanners tend to scan slides as darker than they really are, and so they need to be lightened and/or color corrected to produce an accurate result. Importing the scan to sometimes also darkens it.
Bear in mind that all scans of slides are representative only, and may not be the equal of the original slide. Also, due to the low ASA/ISO values of both early and later films, there is also the risk of slight motion blur, usually on the front. Older films may also have spots, light scratches ordust or other imperfections. Duplicate slides often show the effects of not having been properly cleaned before the duplication was made, and are generally less sharp than the original.
Slides are generally Kodachrome originals. We reserve the right to sell prints from any slide or negative sold not copyrighted by the original photographer, as we have a huge inventory that maycontain 8 x 10 prints.
