MATTHEW BOULTON CANDLESTICKS, pair Not sterling silver. Made by well known inventor, engineer and silversmith - late 1700\'s to early 1800\'s.These candlesticks were a wedding present 1968. The top piece comes off, probably for wax removal.Included is the original tag that came with them, for reference - from NY City. They have spent most of their time in a cedar chest. Geen felt material has been added on the bottoms. Placed on top of what was already there, as it is \'very old\', and, with less possible table scratching.
