Up for your consideration is an original 1981 Muse Air opening day pocket schedule. This card measures 3.5" x 2.25" (business card size) and is an original...no reproduction. These schedules were available to Muse Air's original customers traveling between Dallas Love Field and Houston Hobby airport...the only route served by Muse Air for it's first months of operation. Fare offerings displayed on the bottom of the card. Muse Air, founded by Lamar and Mike Muse, directly competed with Southwest Airlines operating two MD-80 aircraft in the beginning. The airline was acquired by Southwest in 1985 and the name was changed to TranStar Airlines which eventually liquidated in 1987. Muse Air was the first non-smoking airline in the USA prior to government regulations later banning smoking on any USA carrier.
