JOHNSON'S WAX Cast Iron Antique Applicator for Floor Finishing.

This is an antique cast iron Johnson’s Wax applicator for waxing floors.

It is an oblong solid piece of iron measuring 4” x 8 ¾” x ⅞”. The top side has raised letters “JOHNSON’S WAX” along with “Reg. U.S. Pat. Office”. It has an attached swivel steel piece which would hold a pole for using it, which is rusted and stiff to move but could be lubricated to move more easily if you wanted.

The top has a mixture of surface rust and the original silver painted surface. There are two rusted screws that go all the way through to the bottom, which is indented and once held a wooden backed brush for applying wax.

It’s a great old relic…could be a paperweight or doorstop and an excellent find for anyone named Johnson who likes olde junque….
