I recently purchased the collection from George's son.The collection consists of 1000s of car magazines from the 1950-1970s; individual issues, hardbound sets by year and magazine title, and car show programs.His son stated that these are the issues that George Barris kept for his own private collection.I will be listing many of them.I have one "Barris Kustom Industries Certificate of Authenticity", signed and dated by George's son, stating I purchased "the original George Barris vintage magazine collection from his son". A copy will be provided with every item sold from the collection.

Motor Trend Magazines are great time capsules capturing the automotive trends/auto racing/new cars/musclecars of the era.
Motor Trend Magazines in vintage binders are rare and the George Barris connection make this set aone-of-a-kind auto collectible.
Selecting a maximum of 24 photos was a challenge as there are so many great covers and features in these 60 issues; autoracing event coverage, car culture and auto personalities, interviews, great speed equipment ads, great new car and new musclecar ads, new car introductions, automotive tech, and musclecar and new car features and performance tests.
The majority of new, 1964-1968 American cars and many import cars weretested and featured in Motor Trend within these 5 years and 60 issues.
