\'C\'est la Mere Michel\' is a French children\'s song from the 1800\'s that tells the tale of Mother Michel who is searching for her lost cat. Old man Lustrucu tells her he will return the cat for a \'reward\'. When Michel offers only a kiss, Lustrucu threatens to sell the cat! Poor Michel is holding her dress over her eyes crying for her lost cast who is quietly hiding beneath then hem of her chemise. A puuurfect ending for this rare beauty...
