American 19th Century Woven Indigo Blue & Cream Jacquard Coverlet 76" x 85”: $425.00
Gorgeous antique hand spun and hand woven indigo blue and cream colored textile coverlet. This expertly woven floral and geometric designed textile coverlet comes with an interesting provenance. Donated to our nonprofit by an 85 year old woman, the coverlet was made by her maternal grandmother, Joanna Boucher of New Lexington, Somerset County, PA. The materials that she used were wool and flax. The flax was grown and cultivated on her own farm! This piece is dated around 1875-1890. Measures 76” width x 85” length, this does not include the 3” wool fringe on 3 sides. The coverlet photos are taken on a queen size bed. The condition is really amazing. There are some scattered small stains ( see last 4 photos) but no rips, tears or holes.Message me any questions or if you want more photos. All proceeds from this sale benefit a local nonprofit school. Thanks.
