ORIGINAL HAND PAINTED, SIGNED & DATED. folk art cover. cancelled w matching town name to the water color image depictedFantastic original Cachet artwork by the late George Harrod of Conway, Arkansas. He was an avid postal cover artist specializing in pen & ink, with watercolor. His day job was being a physician. During his free time, he was a self-taught artist and postal history buff. Highly regarded and collected. he spent quite a bit of time, over many years, drawing and painting original works of art on envelopes and cards. A large portion were dedicated to interesting place names across the United States. He would send each envelope to the post office in the selected town name, and ask via a note, for the postal employee to hand cancel the stamp, and send it back to Dr Harrod. #6 letter size (6 3/4" x 3 3/4') envelope
