For sale is an original vintage postcard.Very rare view of the North Sea Flood in Holland.It says Doorbraak Stoofdijk which is a special type of flood which breaks a dike. I believe this picture is of a dike that overflowed and was destroyed in Stavenisse. This was one of the worst floods in history for the Netherlands with thousands of people dying.
Original postcard. Decent condition. There is a pen marked X on the upper right. Perhaps the back is referring to what that is for. The back is in Dutch and I can\'t read and it\'s difficult for Google to translate the handwriting. I have attempted tot translate the handwriting and I have included a picture of it\'s attempt.
