This map opens to 18" x 24" and has greatdetail on old highway alignments, with cartography by H.M. Gousha.
On thereverse side there are inset plans of Council Bluffs, Fort Dodge,Dubuque, Iowa City, Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Des Moines, Sioux City, andthe Spirit Lake region.
The map was distributed by the Continental Oil Company in 1940 and isdated by the code number in the lower margin: 11-N. The code number onthe back cover is 10403.
Population data is from the 1930 census, andlittle triangle symbols locate Conoco gas stations in the state.
Condition: This map is in very good, lightly used condition,bright and clean, with no rips, tears, or writing. There's a neat rubber-stamp imprint on the front cover froma Conoco gas station in Champaign, Illinois. Be sure to take a look at the scans and feel free to ask any questions.
