This is a large hardcover book entitled \"The Nickel Plate Story. The book was published in 1965 and this is the 1978 printing. It has been in my library for 30 years and it is one of my favorites with hundreds of great photos. It has 483 pages including everything you ever wanted to know about the New York Chicago and St. Louis Railroad. The book is in excellent used condition. I grew up near Frankfort, Indiana in the mid 1950\'s when every day I watched freight trains power past me pulled by the mighty Berkshire steam locomotives still in active service. I heard those steam whistles every night along with the chuff chuff of those mighty engines. If you need a copy of this book and it\'s extensive information and photos maybe this one is for you.
