ORIGINAL VINTAGE IMPERIAL AIRWAYS LUGGAGE LABEL - COLOGNE
This rare original vintage circa 1927-1928 airline baggage label waspublished by IMPERIAL AIRWAYS LTD., London. This British airline luggage labelfor the city of Cologne, Germany has a great full color illustration ofpassengers looking out the window of an airplane and also an area for writingin the Passenger’s name and the weight of the baggage. Printed on thin paper thisunused label with un-gummed back measures 3 3/4 x 5 1/4 inches.
This unused un-gummed back label is not a copy or a reproduction. Ifound a large collection of vintage baggage labels at an estate sale twenty years agoalong with other travel advertisement items such as KLM and IMPERIAL AIRWAYSLTD time tables dated 1928. It is safe to say that this label is from the late1920s. I have several of these labels available if you are interested in morethan one.
