from Chance Vought and Lockeed.
They were the makers of the famous
F4U-5N Corsair Night Fighter.
The 1st report has about 15 pages and is dated
20 march 1947 and has details for the New
Night Fighter version the navy wants built.
It was approved by Rear Admiral Nicholson.
The 2nd book is dated 30 June 1952 and has
info on the updates and actual restricted
flight info. Both these books have writing in
pen from the period as they were used by
the manufacturers to update the airframe.The folders have very light wear and ageand the paper inside is on a heavy gloss
card stock as they were used in the
assembly plant and both have a metal
spine in the folder. Nothing is ripped
& nothing is missing they are complete.These are actual Lockeed Aircraft Corp
folders and are history of the famous
F4U-5N plane and are truly RARE !*TRUE 1 OF A-KIND ITEM LOT*
