PHOTOS 1 to 5 are general exterior pictures of this item. Photos 6 to 10 depict close ups of the minor areas where slight damage appears. There are no breaks or broken parts no chipped off pieces from anywhere on the model. Photo 10 shows the worst area of damage. It looks as though the trailing edge of the rear horizontal stabilizer was touched up it needs a spot of matching paint on each side. There are very minor scuffs to the underside of the fuselage. Otherwise I rate the condition at 93% PLUS and 100% original. Information From Internet about the actual original BOEING 720 as information.
720 PACIFIC MINIATURES RESIN MODEL IN 1:60 SCALE ALL ORIGINAL LIKELY MORE THAN 60 YEARS OLDOn November 23, 1959 the first Boeing 720 airliner, a 720-022, registered as N7201U, made its first flight at Renton, Washington. The 720 was a development of the 707 and no prototype was built. N7201U was used by Boeing for flight testing and was then delivered to United Airlines, 1 October 1960. The airline named the new 720 Jet Mainliner Capt. F. M. Crismore. Over the next two years, United acquired 29 Boeing 720s.N7201U was sold to Contemporary Entertainment, owned by singer Bobby Sherman and his manager, Ward Sylvester, in January 1973. It was repainted in a gold and black livery and christened The Starship. As a VIP transport, it was used by such rock bands as Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, The Rolling Stones, Alice Cooper and Elton John. It was last chartered by Peter Frampton.N7201U was withdrawn from service in 1977 and after being stored for several years, was broken up at Luton Airport near London, England, in OFFERS ARE CONSIDERED -----------------
I consider this an incredible Survivor. I believe it is a model produced by Pacific Miniatures possibly as early as 1959. I base this on the fact that United Airlines took possession of this particular Aircraft in 1960. That would make this model more than 60 years old. It is possible that the BOEING Trademarked plane came out in 1959. PACMIN I think likely also made the Boeing decorated model by the same Number N7201U. This may mean the actual Resin Model was made earlier and as Airlines purchased the 720 different decals and color schemes were applied. I also see photos of Pacific Miniatures from the 1960\'s with this style Stand. Dimensions of model. Length of plane 27 Inches Wing Span 24 Inches. I don\'t know for certain but I think the 720 B version of the 720 was a little longer. This may account for the 1:60 scale B model / MODEL being a bit longer. The stand is 10 Inches Long and 4.5 Inches Wide. It stands 6 inches tall up to the screw in plug that mounts into the fuselage. The stand appears to be Aluminum and weighs around 2 Pounds 3 Ounces. The Plane by itself weighs 3 Pounds 6 Ounces. The plane is solid resin.
I have come to this asking price based on the extremely Good Original Condition Overall. I have not pinned it down entirely but I think I have seen this style stand alone for around $500.00. Most of these larger models were often suspended. This one does not appear to have been hung up no holes. As a result the stands once separated usually got lost.
In my research I believe I saw this particular Aircraft flew the west and often was at Denver Stapleton Field in its time with United Airlines. In addition United had and still has a major operations center in Denver plus many gates at DIA Denver International Airport. I speculate his model was likely a Corporate Office display at Stapleton and possibly not from a Travel Agency Office. I am also connecting the real aircraft\'s history to its time as a Rock and Roll mansion on wings shuttle for the groups and stars listed below.

Then again I am one of those persons who would never chop up any Airplane. they should all be restored and on display somewhere. Think about how many Beer and Soda Cans may have once been Bombers, Fighters or Airliners (Fanciful but impossible) I naturally hope someone sees the value in this rare model.
If you offer please lets discuss delivery and Pick Up options before we finalize any sale Thanks. I am trying to pin down more specific Packaging and shipping details (Costs). I am researching having the plane professionally packaged and shipped.
