This is a 1964, one-of-a-kindengine room logbook from \"The S.S. United States Liner\".One can see Captain Alexanderson\'sinitials in photo #5. All the information covers both voyages # 277(Eastbound & Westbound), fromAugust 11th. - August 25th.,1964. \"The S.S. United States Liner\" sailed exactly (400) voyages, which means exactly (800) crossings,(Eastbound & Westbound) between June 1952- November 1969. This one-of-a-kind logbook measures 11\" x 17\", and is approximately15 pages in length. It is full of hand written information like speed, boiler pressure, ports-of-call, arrivals, departures, engine room mishaps, and other nautical information; allhand writtenbythe chief engineer. After all these years, the condition is excellent. Thislogbookis sealed in plastic, and has been put away in my SSUS collection for the past30 years. I only have a few of these left for sale. This item was purchased at the 1984 SSUS at sale in Norfolk, Virginia.
