On board was ships carpenter, William Parker, who was known to take Titanic wreckage from the sea and make them into everyday useful items. He made a liquor cabinet for his Chief Officer. It stayed with the family until 1998 when it was sold to a Canadian Museum. Inside the cabinet, a yellow pine plank identified as part of Titanic's deck was removed and offered for individual sale early this century.This small wreck wood piece in the 2" plastic display was part of that plank.
It has been on public exhibit at the Ronald Reagan National Library in Simi Valley, CA and at the National Geographic Titanic Museum Exhibit in Washington DC.
