My wife and I bought this watercolor from Nestor\'s place in New Orleans in July 1976 and have had it framed and hanging in our house since then.We are downsizing and offering this painting for sale. We have another one that will be listed shortly. This a very pretty and colorful rendition of one of his classic subjects.Nestor Fruge (American/New Orleans, b. 1917) , \"French Quarter Street Scene\", watercolor, signed lower left,Painting inside light grey matting is 12.75 inches tall by 8.75 inches wide. The frame is 19.2 in. tall x 15.2 in wide x 1.25 in deep.Has brown paper backing sealing the back with two eye hooks and wire to hang the it. There is one small hole (1/2 inch) in the backing paper that has been taped over.
