This MINT GREEN STRIATED Pelikan 400 & 450 Gunther Wagner Set is from the first 400 series.
This is a later, transitional version, featuring an newer style nib with the Pelikan logo stamped on it. Also, the cap ring has 3x Pelikan 400 stamped. Previous 400 pens had the older style nib with only the Pelikan lettering and nothing stamped on the cap.
The pens come in their beautiful original leather pouch.
The pencil uses 1.18mm leads and is in perfect, working, condition.
The nib is crafted from 14k 585 gold and is a F- Fine. A very smooth and slightly flexy nib to write with.
The pens are in mint condition, as you can see on the pictures. There are no cracks visible anywhere on them. The nib collar is also not cracked. The ink window is pretty clear and there is no ink residue on it.
The nib writes well and the pen has received a full service, which included full disassembly, thorough cleaning and lubrication of moving parts with silicone.
I have provided a writing sample using Pelikan 4001 blue tint, in order to further describe the writing characteristics of the nib. Please keep in mind that I am a left handed writer.
