2\" Round USAF Torque Pressure Type MO-3

One electricIndicator, Pressure, Oilas manufactured by Thomas A. Edison Industries, West Orange, N.J.under US military contractor for USAF in late 1950s or 1960s and identifiedandmarked as such by a metal data tag on the rear of the instrument case. Manufacturer\'s Part No. identifies it as 217A - 50A. The Federal Stock No. for this instrument is 6113-6620-581-2268. This is Type MO - 3 US.

This is a 2\" panel mount unit. True measure is 1 5/8\" for ROUND panel mount. This one served in USA and appears to have gone through overhaul at Corpus Christi TX as it\'s stamped with date of 1966 on a water transfer decal. Built under USAF AF33 (657) - 9881 Contract Order. Serial No. is 0199.

Nice crisp yellow creme face markings on face plate and graduated markings from 0-50 PSI Torque Pressure on instrument face.Single needle. This appears to be a400 CPS electrical instrument but there is no additional voltage information on the data plate. Note that the Cannon electrical connector is capped and it\'s exceptionally clean inside. Powered by 3 pin Cannon, small.

Exceptionally clean. Great bright vibrant graphics. The blob on the glass is residue of varnish when the red limit hash mark was applied and the varnish ran. No scratches to glass. No bug or dirt or moisture corrosion inside of instrument. It\'s a nice clean unit.

Un-tested by us. Still a wee bit dusty from storage. Black paint has little scratches. I suspect if you were lacking this as a panel filler it\'d be perfect.

Radium content on this instrument unknown and NOT tested by us. Assumed non-radium. Aero instruments of this vintage unless specifically stated otherwise in this posting may contain traces of said and makes international shipping sometimes difficult.

Unit is metal cased; minor drop damage as noted on back end of instrument case. No broken glass or mods or damage to round front mounting threads. No idea what it came out of, but clearly as USAF of 1960sparentage.Given markings it\'s rotor wing application.
