Pan American World Airways (Pan Am) was the principal US international carrier from the late 1920s until its collapse in 1991. At its peak, Pan Am served all six populated continents. Airline deregulation, which allowed many US airlines to expand their domestic routes to international destinations, robbed Pan Am of most of its feeder traffic, and Pan Am could no longer compete, given its limited domestic routings. Its routes were taken over by other airlines, primarily Delta and United. For sale is a travel brochure \"4 Sensational Bargain Vacations to South America\"; it is undated but from the early 1950s.
