| FS2004 P-51D Mustang "Ferocious Frankie"
This is a repaint only for the WOP P-51D and WWII
Fighters P-51D. This aircraft was delivered in 1944
and saw duty amongst a variety of US training units
as well as a possibility it saw service with the
357th FG. The aircraft then went on to serve with
the RCAF as 9568 and was sold surplus in 1960. By
1974 the aircraft was restored and became race #7 "Candyman".
By 1980 the aircraft was ferried over to Switzerland
and became "Moose" in 1981. In 1991 the aircraft was
obtained by The Fighter Collection, Duxford and in
2002 was painted as "Ferocious Frankie", a P-51D
which originally belonged to the 374th Fighter
Squadron, piloted by Mustang Ace, Lt. Col. Wallace E

INSTALLATION:
The WWII Fighters P-51D actually includes the original yet
updated WOP P-51D with the release, but it is sort of hidden.
Here are instructions on how you can install this and other WOP
P-51D repaints to your WWII Fighters Mustang.
1 - Go to your WWII_FIGHTERS_P51D folder and make a copy of the
Model folder and rename it Model.1
2 - Now open the newly created Model.1 folder and then open the
Model.CFG file found inside. Edit the line within to read...
[models]
normal=P-51D
...and save the file. What you have just done is activated the
WOP P-51D model included in the Model.1 folder.
3 - Now copy the Texture.Ferocious Frankie folder to your WWII_FIGHTERS_P51D
folder.
4 - Open your aircraft config. Copy this section to your
aircraft
config changing the [fltsim.X] numbers to your sequence of
numbers. As you can see from this .CFG entry that under the
model= you must now place a 1 for WOP P-51D repaint .CFG entries.
